Description of the route and surroundings
This circuit is a classic tour of the parish of El Chaupi and its surroundings. With a steep slope at the beginning, but once you reach the highest point of the Loma Pucará the effort is rewarded because it is an incredible natural viewpoint of the Avenue of the Volcanoes and the Mejía Valley with a spectacular view of the Illinizas and the Cotopaxi Volcano. The beginning and end of this circuit is in the central park of the parish of El Chaupi.
With a variety of terrains: cobblestone, dirt, cobblestone and in small stretches asphalt, along this route the rural landscape predominates and it is possible to observe the local inhabitants carrying out their daily activities. The best time to visit this place is during the dry season. The temperature ranges from 12° C to 21° C.
