Route Description and Environment
One shall take the road to the northern control of the Cotopaxi National Park and later to the Limpiopungo lagoon; the first part is a moderate hike on straw fields to reach the base of a rocky ridge, which leads to a sand and unstable chute to the summit.
The type of road is third order and trails through the tall straw, you can see the full extent of the Cotopaxi volcano in an area considered as safe from the volcanic phenomena of the Cotopaxi volcano. A grasslands landscape predominates. The average temperature is 10 ° C.
