Route description and Environment

As in the South Illiniza, this escalation has two phases: the first in which the journey to the “Nuevos Horizontes” shelter is done. The second phase, which is done the next day, very early in the morning to get to the summit of North Illiniza, with steep slopes and climbing sections.The landscape of grasslands and mountains predominates. The average temperature is from 0°C to 12° C.
