CHAGRA WHO IS HE?

Leonardo Serrano Moscoso, quoted by (Oxford & Bish, 2004), points out that etymologically, "chagra" is derived from chácara or chacra, a Quichua word used to refer to the plot of land where the members of a family worked in order to use the products of the land. With the passage of time this geographical denomination was extended to the human element that inhabited it and the phonetic modification of the Quichua voice was produced to give origin to the term chagra.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CHAGRA

 

The love of the countryside, a man with a proud, dynamic character, proud of his being because wherever he is he recognizes where he is from, he is cheerful, spontaneous when speaking, enjoys a good stiff drink when celebrating. The chagra huarmi, companion of the chagra cari, has her own description; she is a loving woman, kind, simple in her dress, affectionate at home, cooperative and hardworking in the activities of the field. She is characterized by the way she dresses and rides horses.
