Description of the route and surroundings
Leaving from the Loreto de El Pedregal area, you will travel along the public road to the northern control point of Cotopaxi National Park. Before reaching the control point, you enter the property known as El Contadero and cross the páramo until you reach the northern control point of the PNC. From here you can see panoramic views of Cotopaxi, Sinchologua, Pasochoa, Corazón and Rumiñahui.
The return circuit begins at the entrance of Contadero to reach the same road to the corrals and the starting point. This route has cobblestone, rocky and grassy paths where the paramo landscape predominates, very characteristic of the sector. The best time to visit this place is during the dry season.
