Sierra Alisos, Country Hotel

Located at 3,070 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Atacazo, this unique country hotel is located in a spectacular enclave of the Western Cordillera, with mountain winds and sunshine, just 45 minutes from Quito and at the entrance to the Machachi Valley. . The name of Hacienda Sierra Alisos goes back to the beginning of the 70s, like the farming hacienda of the Guarderas family, preserving a humid high altitude native forest. This small reserve constitutes one of the few remnants of forest on the eastern flank, and is a key point in the region of diversity and wildlife. The hacienda opens its doors now with a refurbished house-hacienda of 6 rooms, a large dining room with capacity for 30 people, fireplace, jacuzzi and an author’s kitchen where dishes are created that go back to the recipes of the grandmother with a touch of the best of international cuisine and that have the quality standards of the well-known restaurants that the family has.

The farm maintains agricultural activities, now open to tourists. These incorporate other agroforestry and conservation practices, but mainly that of responsible tourism. Activities with horses can be shared with walks and bike rides. Being close to the volcano area, we also offer the possibility of acclimatization and / or scheduled visits to the attractions of the valley.

Other alternatives that it promotes are meditation and relaxation of body and mind, along with the option of investigating or simply entering the reserve; Do adventure or pick up in a place of silence, with a warm bath in waters of slope, are the things that makes Sierra Alisos unique.
