Description of the route and surroundings
The route begins in El Pedregal following the main road from Santa Ana, passing through the Queserapungo sector to the northern control of the Cotopaxi National Park; from this point and goes to the Pita River and continues next to the hacienda La Merced. A circuit runs through Cotopaxi National Park and returns to the Santa Ana de El Pedregal sector.
Throughout the tour, you can observe the inhabitants of the sector carrying out daily activities in agriculture and livestock; the moorland landscape predominates accompanied by the majestic Cotopaxi. The best time to visit this place is during the dry season.
